![]() As you battle, your characters will charge up powerful shots. Then you can hit it on several successive turns to really improve the amount of damage dealt in a round. Try to place your shots so that a monster comes to a rest while in a good position to fire a charged burst at a tough boss monster. There are a few especially common types of attack: a spread shot that sends shrapnel in all directions, four-way lasers that fire in diagonal directions, an area explosion, homing shots that target weak foes, and vertical lasers that blast upward, or sometimes both up and down. Remember that every monster has a special move that is activated if it is stationary and a Bounce type monster brushes against it.A Strike type monster will pass directly through the target, inflicting extra damage to weak points but also making combos less likely. It is weaker but can produce good chains that lead to extra damage. A Bounce type monster will rebound from anything it touches. Pay attention to a character's attack type, and try to build a team that includes both Bounce and Strike type monsters, since there are situations where one or the other is likely to prove more effective. There are a few tips worth keeping in mind: The important thing is to keep playing a given event until you capture the desired critter.Īs you play the game, you will develop a feel for how to play. Often, you will have a significantly improved chance at a rare beast if you can defeat the missions on the "Hard" or "Savage" setting, but sometimes a rare egg will drop even on lower settings. Some of them will repeat on certain days of the week, and others seem to come up for other reasons. You will also have the option to "add" a friend, if playing with an unfamiliar character.Įvent Quests are available only for a limited period. Typically, you get a pile of gold and some sharls. When you beat the monster at the end of a given mission, you will receive rewards. Quests typically offer somewhere from three to five missions, and you have to sacrifice regenerating Stamina for each one you accept. A number of the early ones are detailed here in this wiki. Missions are divided into quests, which fall under the Normal Quests and Event Quests heading. This is good news for people who may be playing the game in a sparsely populated region. You can accept most missions and play through them, even if you have no allies. This seems to increase the chance of your primary monster developing better luck (so you find better loot in battles), and it increases the likelihood that you will get a random boost that doubles the impact of the fusion, at no additional cost to you. Ideally, you can spend most of your time fusing monsters of the same element, and you will sacrifice five monsters at once. There is also the matter of elemental affinity. Finally, you must select the monsters that will be sacrificed for that monster's gain.įusion is a costly process, requiring that you have enough gold (earned from battle or from the sale of unwanted monsters) and that you also be willing to sacrifice potentially powerful allies. Then you can pick the one that will receive any stat boosts. You can tap "Monsters" on the bottom bar, then "Fuse Monsters" from the menu and you will see a list of the current monsters in your stable. Fusing keeps things going.Īs noted above, fusion allows you to improve the stats of your various monsters. Monsters have a maximum level they can reach, and then they can either evolve or they are mostly done growing. You can improve stats automatically by leveling up a monster, or by fusing it with certain other monster types that provide an additional bonus on top of the ones tied to level progression. ![]() This rating is in a sense more important even than the Attack rating, since you get more out of a turn if your character can spend longer in play. A monster with a good rating here can rocket around the area, perhaps bumping into multiple fellows and triggering lethal attack chains. Speed determines how quickly your monster will move once it has been launched. It may be tempting to put all of your energy into raising monsters with a high Attack rating, but that's not necessarily the best approach. Though some energy is restored between rounds and when you brush against hearts on the battlefield, you benefit from having a larger HP pool, so to speak.Īttack determines how hard your monster hits, which is obviously important. HP increases the total amount of damage your team can sustain in battle before collapsing from exhaustion. Those correspond to HP, Attack, and Speed, respectively. As you look at the monsters, you should find that they have three varying attributes, indicated by numbers and green, red, and blue energy bars.
